Dr. Adams is the Acting Dean of the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education (SoE). As the chief academic officer in the SoE he is responsible for carrying out the SoE mission and strategic goals. He brings to Fisher a solid background in college administration and teaching, offering over 20 years of experience in leadership and curriculum development. Before coming to Fisher, Dr. Adams served as Associate Dean for Teacher Education in the Graduate School of Education at the University at Buffalo, SUNY. He is a New York State certified school psychologist and a licensed mental health counselor and has received many awards and honors, including the State University of New York Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. He joined Fisher in the fall of 2006.

Kristin Anderson is the Assistant Director of Assessment and Clinical Practice in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education. Her primary projects include working on field experience and student teaching placements, working with the Unit Assessment and Evaluation System and managing the SoE database. Kristen graduated from Fisher in 2000 with a BA in Communication/Journalism and earned her Ed.M. in Higher Education Administration from the University at Buffalo in 2002. She is currently pursuing her MBA in the Bittner School of Business at Fisher. Kristen worked at the University at Buffalo, Duke, and the University of Rochester before coming to Fisher in fall 2005 to help with SoE national accreditation. She started full time in January 2006.

Eileen Atwell is the Senior Administrative Assistant to the Associate Dean of the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education. She is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Associate Dean, including managing and maintaining his daily schedule, planning meetings, coordinating travel, which involves direct contact with students, faculty, other administrative offices, and outside organizations. Eileen received her BA in English from SUNY Brockport. Before coming to Fisher she worked in the advertising and marketing industries, with several years at the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. Eileen started at Fisher in 2004 as Administrative Assistant for the Academic Opportunity Programs Office.

Allison Bosworth is the Director of Field Experiences and Student Teaching in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education. She works with all undergraduate and graduate candidates to place them with qualified mentor teachers in local schools for field placement and student teaching. She works with faculty, college supervisors, school principals, and district administrators to ensure that all teacher candidates meet the School of Education goals. Allison has been a part of the Fisher community since 1995. Allison received her BA in Elementary Education from Michigan State University and taught for several years in Atlanta, Georgia, and Tuscon, Arizona.

Betsy Christiansen is the Administration Coordinator in the Ed.D. Program in Executive Leadership. Betsy manages the daily operations of the program. Before coming to Fisher in June 2007, Betsy worked at the University of Rochester, where she managed the office and coordinated public relations for the Rochester Center for Biomedical Ultrasound. She was also a communications consultant for corporate and higher education clients. Betsy has a B.A. in Journalism from St. Bonaventure University and a Certificate in Technical Communication from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Jennifer Duffy is the Director of Candidate Advisement and Services in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education. She works with faculty and staff to ensure that all candidates receive advisement and support. She coordinates the newly instituted referral process, designed to support candidates in their development as educators and provide them with ongoing feedback about their progress. Jennifer started at Fisher in fall 2000 as the Coordinator of Undergraduate Programs. She started in the SoE in fall 2004.  Jennifer earned a BS degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Fine Arts and an MS degree in Elementary Education with a focus on Reading from SUNY Geneseo. She holds permanent certification in grades N-6 and taught third grade in the Rochester City School District for ten years.

Joan Flint is Assistant to the Director of Field Experiences and Student Teaching in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education. She works with regional elementary and secondary school administrators to obtain placements for field experience students and student teachers in the SoE. Joan started at Fisher in 1999 as a Faculty Supervisor for science student teachers. From 2001-2004, she coordinated placements for math and science education students. Joan joined the SoE as a part-time staff member in fall 2004. Joan received a BA in Biology from Elmira College. She holds a permanent New York State certificate in Biology and Chemistry. She taught science for 32 years in the Webster School District.

Dr. Whitney H. Rapp is the Acting Associate Dean of the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education (SoE). Dr. Rapp is an Associate Professor and formerly the Chair of the Special Education Department. She is responsible for assisting the Dean in carrying out the SoE mission and strategic goals. Dr. Rapp also oversees the Offices of Field Experience and Student Teaching, and Advisement and Student Services.  Dr. Rapp serves on the Academic Standing Committee and the Policy Board of the West Irondequoit Teaching Learning Center. Before coming to Fisher, she was an Assistant Professor at SUNY Geneseo.

Louise is a Senior Administrative Assistant in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education. Her primary projects include supporting the Dean and staff and assisting with assessment and accreditation. Louise received her A.A.S. degree in Executive Secretarial Science from Alfred State College. She was previously employed at Eastview Dialysis, Inc. and joined the School of Education in 2007.

Kristen Stone is a Senior Administrative Assistant in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education. She supports six Department Chairs/Program Directors and eleven faculty/staff members. Kristen assists teacher candidates in a variety of areas, such as scheduling meetings with advisors, registering for courses, and applying for NYS Teacher Certification. Kristen started at Fisher in January 2002 in the SoE. Kristen received her Associate in Science degree in Business Management from Cazenovia College. Before coming to Fisher, she worked in the advertising and printing industries as an Administrative Assistant and Finance/Office Manager.

Karen graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a BA in Communication Arts. She has worked for major corporations including: Unisys as an inside sales representative, Xerox as a business analyst, and the Sutherland Corporation as a human resource representative. She began with SJFC in 2002 to assist the Human Resources Development Program with alumni relations. Her position has grown to include alumni relations, recruitment, event planning, community outreach contact, and office manager.

Anne Wahl is the Director of Assessment, Certification, and Accreditation in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education. As Director, Anne’s responsibilities include serving as chair of the SoE Assessment Committee, overseeing the assessment system, and providing support for faculty and staff in the SoE. Anne directs the national accreditation efforts (NCATE). Anne is also the School of Education liaison with the New York State Education Department and other College offices, such as OIT, Registrar’s Office, and Admissions. She started at Fisher in 1999 as a part-time staff member counseling prospective candidates who were interested in becoming teachers. Anne received a BA in English from Gannon University and an MS in Teaching and Curriculum from the University of Rochester. She is currently a candidate in the Ed.D. Executive Leadership Program. She holds permanent New York State certification in English and taught English for ten years in the Webster School District.

Carol Ziegler is the Assistant to the Dean in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education. She manages the daily operations and provides executive administrative support to the Dean and members of the Dean’s staff. Carol started at Fisher in 1998 as the Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Graduate/Undergraduate Studies. She came to the SoE in December 2003. Carol earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Medaille College.
